ISO Revision: 12467-7: Digital Data
Part of the TC 130’s Charter is monitor and respond to any ISO Standard which may have impact upon our industry, or where industry may wish to make submisions through the Austalian TC 130 to the International TC 130. Currently the above Standard is being reviewed: Graphic technology — Process control — Part 7: Off-press proofing processes working directly from digital data. The big drama: CtP
In 2003 the German print body BVDM sent a questionnaire to all their members about their CtP. The results were shocking. Four out of five printers surveyed had no process and quality control for the creation of a printing plate, and the TVI curve was not matching any standard or printing specification.
