What's all this about standards and printing?

DRUPA showcases the world’s latest technology and innovation for the printing, graphic arts, packaging and visual communications industries.  One aspect that is receiving increased attention is the international move towards global print standardisation.

Australia is currently behind its European counterparts in the adoption of international standards for printing.

If left unchecked, this will place our Australian industry at a significant disadvantage in an ever increasing global market place.

LIA and Printing Industries Association of Australia have joined together to promote the implementation of international standards into the Australian market as a means of ensuring that our industry can compete on a global basis, as well as providing print certainty for the Australian graphic technology industry and their clients.

This will be achieved by the introduction of an Australian Standard for the printing industry which mirrors the International Standard.

This web site provides an Australian focus for an international issue.  It delivers information, education and assistance to those within the printing industry who are seeking to adopt the new Australian Standard.
