Lamont out – Fuller in

Bob Lamont Inaugural Chairman (R)
congratulates Robert Fuller (L) on taking over as Chairman 2008/9.
At the 20 May meeting Inaugural Chairman, Bob Lamont, Executive Director of the LIA stood-down and Alternate Chairman Robert Fuller, National Operations Manager for Printing Industries was elected Chairman for the 2008 – 2009 year. Lamont will remain an active member of the Committee.
“The last two years have been a very interesting and fulfilling experience” said Lamont.
“Most of the first year involved working with a
small group to determine whether we had the capability and will to
carry forward the project and if so how do we go about accomplishing
the task. It soon became obvious that we, the LIA, did not have the
resources nor the capacity to go it alone.”
“Printing Industries was the obvious partner and a
relationship was formed and within a year, together, we have achieved a
great deal. I hand the baton to Robert with a great deal of confidence
that under his ongoing leadership the cause of advancing standards
based printing in Australia will prosper.”
“What has happened” Lamont concluded,
“could not have occurred without the efforts of a diverse and
knowledgeable committee, who have freely given of their time in order
to further the cause. To them a sincere vote of thanks is
accorded.”
