A vote for a new Australian Standard

Standards Australia’s Program Manager, International Standards Development Max Maffucci, Declared the Ballot making international standard ISO12647-2 the Australian Standard and as a result the standard will be now designated as AS/ISO 12647-2.

Commenting on the occasion, Maffucci  told the assembled members and those interstate, linked by video conferencing facilities, that he was very impressed by the way in which the Committee was constituted  and by the obvious diversity and competency of it’s members.

The Annual Meeting of the TC 130 committee focused upon revisiting the original Charter and structure of the now 12 month old group.  Chairman of the TC 130 Bob Lamont, said “when we sent up the committee with Printing Industries, we deliberately put in place a sunset clause of 12 months to force the expanded group to critically review what had been achieved, to refine and improve where needed, and to set the direction and business plan for the next year.”
